| Andrea C. Blum
Andrea has spent her life working
in glass. “My work has
always involved light and color”. A stained glass
artist and fabricator, she holds a Design degree from
the University
of Minnesota where she taught from 1976-1980. A collector of 20th century Swedish
art glass, she has been a consultant to the American Swedish
Institute’s glass
collection since 1977. In 1986, Andrea received the ASI’s
Lilly Lorenzen Scholarship to study the glass factories in Sweden.
This resulted in the 1991 ASI exhibition “Hot Glass from
Swedish Forests”. Her accumulated knowledge of glass is reflected in her art glass
vessels.
